MOH’S SCALE OF HARDNESS
Back in 1812 German gemstone expert Friedrich Moh’s developed the numerical system of relating a stones hardness to its ability to resist scratching. This system runs from 1 being the softest to 10 the hardest. Jewellers still use Moh’s Scale of Hardness today as it is helpful when determining how a customer wishes to wear a piece of jewellery in terms of how well it will wear.
We don’t feature our pearls and pearl jewellery online, visit our showroom to view our range.
